News from Colorado!
Hello friends! It feels weird to be logging on to The Pastry Case and not seeing any holiday posts. I certainly missed the holidays this year… I was working!
That’s the hospitality industry for you.
In December, I moved out to Colorado to work a pastry-related seasonal job. It has certainly been interesting to say the least! I had not expected living in a tourist-driven town to be this way. At the same time, the views I get to see each day leave me in awe- clear blue skies, sunshine, snowy mountaintops, and evergreen trees.
My job and location also allows me to meet all different kinds of people and I am constantly being inspired with ideas.
One of the reasons I moved out here was to help me figure out what to do next, when this seasonal job comes to an end…
Lately I’ve decided that I am finally ready to start my own business!
When all is said and done, I will be moving back to Indiana and getting to work on business plans. With the help and support of my wonderful family, we will be working on a patisserie/cafe, focusing primarily on French-style pastries and petit fours.
I will continue to keep The Pastry Case updated with news and developments on this exciting process!

Hello Meghan,
I think your own business sounds like a fantastic idea. Where in Colorado? Beaver Creek with Michelle? Good luck with your next endeavor. I know you will do well!
